Choosing Your Gear: The JC-Magnetics Lineup

Selecting a magnet depends on your experience level and the environment you're exploring. Here is how our specialized fishing series breaks down:

⚠️ Safety Warnings: Read Before Use
  • Crush Hazard: Neodymium magnets are incredibly powerful. A 120mm magnet can easily crush fingers if they get caught between the magnet and a metal surface.
  • Pacemakers: Keep magnets at least 3 feet away from pacemakers or other sensitive medical implants.
  • UXO (Unexploded Ordnance): If you pull up something that looks like a grenade or old ammunition, do not handle it. Call local authorities immediately.

Pro Instructions & Advice

The "Lost Magnet" Prevention: Always use a high-strength threadlocker (like Loctite) on the eyebolt threads of your 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, or 120mm magnets. Constant vibration in water can cause the bolt to unscrew, leaving your magnet at the bottom of the river!

Essential Maintenance:

  • Freshwater Rinse: Always rinse your magnet in fresh water after use, especially after saltwater fishing, to protect the Ni-Cu-Ni coating.
  • Total Drying: Dry the magnet thoroughly before storing to prevent oxidation and rust.
  • Knot Selection: We recommend the Palomar Knot for maximum security.
