6mm x 12mm N52 Diametric Neodymium Magnet - 15/64" x 15/32" Rod 6x12mm

6mm x 12mm (15/64" x 15/32") Diametric Neodymium Cylinder Magnet – N52 Grade

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 6mm diameter × 12mm height (Approx. 15/64" × 15/32")
  • Pull Force: Approx. 7.07 lbs
  • Magnet Grade: N52
  • Magnetization: Diametrically Magnetized (Poles on the curved sides/length)
  • Coating: Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) triple-layer plating for a professional finish
  • Shape: Cylinder / Rod

Material Description:

Our 6x12mm diametric cylinders are designed for specialized technical applications. By placing the poles on the sides rather than the ends, this magnet creates a rotating magnetic field when spun on its long axis. This makes it a perfect choice for non-contact sensors, high-torque magnetic couplings, and precision micro-motors.

Handling Tip: Diametric rod magnets are susceptible to shearing forces. Avoid letting these magnets snap together sideways, as the impact can cause the brittle neodymium to crack along its length. Always separate them using a sliding motion.

Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Choking Hazard: Small size is dangerous for children and pets. Keep strictly in a secure container.
  • Pinch Hazard: The N52 grade at this volume is strong enough to cause a sharp skin pinch. Handle with steady hands.
  • Medical Safety: Maintain a safe distance from pacemakers and sensitive medical implants.
  • Electronics: Avoid direct contact with magnetic storage media and mechanical watches.

Applications:

  • High-precision rotary encoders and Hall-effect sensors
  • Magnetic stir bars for laboratory and industrial mixing
  • Custom rotors for brushless DC motors and wind turbines
  • Self-aligning magnetic couplings for robotics
  • Advanced physics demonstrations of non-axial magnetic flux
