Neodymium Cylinder Magnets — Rod & Cylindrical NdFeB Rare Earth Magnets
Cylinder magnets share the circular cross-section of disc magnets but have a height-to-diameter ratio greater than 1:1, giving them a rod-like profile suited to specific engineering applications. JC Magnetics offers cylinder magnets in axial and diametric magnetization in N52 grade. Axially magnetized cylinders are used in solenoid actuators, relay mechanisms, magnetic stir bars, and pen/stylus magnet inserts. Diametrically magnetized cylinders — where poles run across the diameter rather than through the length — are critical in brushless DC motors, rotary encoders, Hall-effect sensor systems, and servo motor feedback assemblies. All cylinders are Ni-Cu-Ni plated for durability in mechanical handling environments.
