3mm x 6mm 1/8in x 15/64in N52 Cylinder Rare Earth Neodymium Magnet 3x6mm

3mm x 6mm (1/8" x 15/64") Neodymium Cylinder Magnet – N52 Grade

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 3mm diameter × 6mm thickness (Approx. 1/8" × 15/64")
  • Pull Force: approx. 0.94 LB
  • Magnet Grade: N52
  • Coating: Nickel-Copper-Nickel (Ni-Cu-Ni) triple-layer plating for a durable, professional finish
  • Magnetization: Axially magnetized (Poles on the 3mm flat circular ends)
  • Shape: Cylinder / Rod

Material Description:

Our 3x6mm N52 cylinders are elongated rod magnets that provide a much deeper magnetic field than standard discs. Because they are 6mm tall, they are significantly easier to handle and install into deep-drilled holes. They offer the highest magnetic flux possible for a 3mm diameter footprint.

Durability Warning: While thicker than discs, these are still brittle. Avoid snapping them together sideways, as the length of the cylinder makes them susceptible to shearing or chipping upon heavy impact.

Warnings and Safety Information:

  • Choking Hazard: Small size is dangerous if swallowed. Keep strictly away from children and pets.
  • Pinch Hazard: The N52 grade provides a strong pull; handle with care to avoid skin pinches when working with multiple cylinders.
  • Medical Safety: Keep away from pacemakers and other sensitive medical implants.
  • Electronic Interference: Strong magnetic field; keep away from magnetic media and mechanical watches.

Applications:

  • Heavy-duty miniature articulation (swappable limbs for larger models)
  • Industrial reed switches and hall-effect sensors
  • Custom magnetic tool racks and workshop organization
  • Scientific research and physics demonstrations
  • High-strength magnetic latches for cabinetry and jewelry boxes
